Hudhayfah said: “The Prophet stood up one day to speak to us, and told us everything that was going to happen until the Hour, and left nothing unsaid…” [Abu Dawud, Muslim]
There will come a time, as stated by the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him), when books and writing will be widespread but religious knowledge will be low. A time when adultery and fornication will be prevalent, leading to diseases never seen before. A time when a man obeys his wife and disobeys his mother, and treats his friend kindly while shunning his father. A time when people begin to compete with others in the construction of taller buildings. A time when earthquakes and natural disasters greatly increase.
Many of these have already taken place, while others have yet to take place. Find out more in this lecture about these minor signs, how they confirm greater signs to come, and how they play a role in our belief system and in the grander scheme of the proceedings of the Day of Judgement.
11:05-11:50am | 40-Minute Lecture
“Allah’s Messenger came to us all of a sudden as we were (busy in discussion). He asked: ‘What are you discussing?’ (The Companions) replied: ‘We are discussing (the subject of) the Last Hour.’ Thereupon he said: ‘It will not come until you see ten signs…’” [Muslim]
Few stories arouse attention in the same way stories do about the Dajjal and other major signs of the Day of Judgement.
And yet they’re true. Whether it be the Dukhan (smoke), the Beast, the Rising of the Sun from the West, the Descent of Jesus son of Mary (may Allah be pleased with them), Gog and Magog, or the Three Landslides (one in the east, one in the west, and one in Arabia), all of these signs will inevitably take place and literally change the face of this earth. When mentioning these signs, the Prophet would admonish and warn that people must perform their good deeds before these events occur, as they directly herald the ending of the time for deeds and the beginning of the time of reckoning.
Learn more in this lecture about these major signs, and how we can prepare ourselves best before the domino effect occurs.
11:55am-12:40pm | 40-Minute Lecture
The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Verily the grave is the first stopping place for the Hereafter; if he is saved therein, then what comes after is easier than it. And if he is not saved there from, then that which comes after is harder.” [Tirmidhi]
Imagine lying in your own grave, hearing the footsteps of your loved ones leaving after your funeral. Two blue and black angels descend shortly thereafter, interrogating you in your most important test so far. “Who is your Lord? What is your Religion? Who is your Prophet?”, they ask. Your destiny depends on your answer – which in turn depends on the life you lived – either granting you a spacious light-filled place of rest, or leaving you to a constricted place of torment.
This interval between his death and the Last Day is known as Al-Barzakh, and is a divine layover that has been scheduled by Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala) for every human being. Prepare yourself for the best by learning more about this interval and what you can do to protect yourself from the punishments of the grave and to have a relaxing stay in Al-Barzakh, in this divine layover.

The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said, “The first matter that the slave will be brought to account for on the Day of Judgment is the prayer. If it is sound, then the rest of his deeds will be sound. And if it is bad, then the rest of his deeds will be bad.” [Al-Tabarani]
2:00pm-2:45pm | 40-Minute Lecture
“The Day they will emerge swiftly from their graves, as if rushing to a goal. Eyes downcast, darkened by debasement, that will be the Day which they were promised.” [Surat Ma'arij 70:43-44]
After the Trumpet is blown for the second time, everybody will be resurrected and the graves will be emptied out. Emerging, they will stand as the beginning of their everlasting lives begin. They will be only concerned for themselves, fleeing from even their own mothers, fathers, brothers, and children. The sun will be brought only a mile away, beating upon all except for those whom Allah has shaded on that day. People will be filled with so much distress that they will go from Prophet to Prophet, asking for them to intercede on their behalf to Allah. Finally, the Greatest Intercession shall take place, allowing the Last Day to commence.
Fortify your intention to receive shade from Allah’s Throne on that Day by learning more about what events will take place during the Awakening and how you can work on fulfilling the conditions to become one of the shade’s recipients, Allah willing.
2:50pm-3:35pm | 40-Minute Lecture
“On that day they will follow Allah’s caller, who has no crookedness in him at all. Voices will be humbled before the All-Merciful, and nothing but a whisper will be heard.” [Surah Taha 20:108]
Our ultimate purpose in life as Muslims, which is constantly stated in the Holy Qur’an, is solely to worship Allah and fulfill his commandments. And so, this will be it: The moment that we will stand before our Creator, the One Whom we have stood before in our prayers, the One from Whom we have asked for countless things, the One in Whose Majestic Hands lie our eternal fate. When all the generations of jinn and man are gathered, everyone will come to terms that there’s no escaping this moment. Thereafter, the day that will last thousands of years shall begin.
The judgment of our Lord, the All-Hearing and All-Knowing, is something that will keep us firmly on the straight path if deeply reflected upon in this life. Realizing the sheer essence of this coming reality is a determining factor of where we will end up in the Hereafter.
3:40pm-4:25pm | 40-Minute Lecture
“That Day, We will seal over their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will testify about what they used to earn.” [Surah Yasin 36:65]
On the day when there will be no lies, deceptions, or injustice, we will be judged by our Lord, Who is Al-Hakam (the Judge). Everyone will come to know their fate by the manner in which they are handed their book of deeds. In regards to the reckoning on this Day, our beloved Prophet (s) is reported to have said, “”The first thing about which a man is going to be questioned on the Day of Judgment is prayer. If it is found to be sound, his other actions will be sound as well. If his prayer is not sound, his remaining actions would be spoiled.” (Al-Tabarani & Tirmidhi)
Furthermore, in the last verses of Surah Az-Zalzalah of the Holy Qur’an, a brief description of this judgment is enough to send a chill down our spines: “So whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it, and whoever does an atom’s weight of evil will see it.”
4:30pm-5:10pm | 40-Minute Lecture
“There is not one of you but will pass over it (Hell); this is with your Lord; a Decree which must be accomplished. Then We will save those who feared Allah and leave the wrongdoers within it, on their knees.” [Surah Maryam 19:71-72]
After the Divine reckoning, only one task will remain that will stand between us and the blessed Paradise: crossing over the bridge of Al-Sirat. The task is the final mission, the moment of truth. This bridge is described as thinner than a hair and sharper than a sword. Some will pass the bridge with great speed a little hesitation while others will cross with difficulty. Some may slip and even fall into Jahannam.
Once this task is completed, the disobedient wrong-doers will take their place in Hell awaiting their punishments and torments. And the obedient servants of Allah will be allowed to enter their rightful home in Jannah, which they will recognize better than their dwellings on earth. There, they will await the endless bounties bestowed on them by Allah, As-Salaam (the Giver of Peace).

“If you could but see when they are made to stand before the Fire and will say, “Oh, would that we could be returned [to life on earth] and not deny the signs of our Lord and be among the believers.” [Surah Al-An’am 6:27]
Hell. On the Last Day, it will have 70,000 reins bring it, with 70,000 angels drawing it by each rein. Hell. Its fuel is of men and stones, and varies in intensity depending on one’s extent of disbelief and sin. Hell. Its gates are seven and offer no chance of escape for those destined to remain therein forever. Hell. Its shackle-bound inhabitants will be forced to wear garments of fire and liquid pitch, scalding water perpetually being poured on their faces. Hell. Its fire burns skin reaching all the way to the bones, melts the contents of the stomach, leaps up to the hearts, and exposes the vital organs.
Hell: it’s truly frightening, but it makes it that much more worthwhile for us to learn about, so that all of us can deter it together. Learn more about this eternal abyss, and how you can avoid being one of its inhabitants, Allah willing.

“Those who have believed and done righteous deeds (will be) in the flowering meadows of the Gardens (Paradise), having whatever they wish in the presence of their Lord. That is what is the great bounty.” [Surah Ash-Shura 42:22]
Heaven. Its roof is the throne of Allah, its buildings are of gold and silver, its rocks are of pearls and jewels. Heaven. Its ground and soil are of musk and saffron, its fruits are softer than butter and sweeter than honey, its leaves are softer than the softest of cloths. Heaven. Its gardens are of delight, underneath which rivers flow; rivers of water, milk, wine, and honey. Its inhabitants will leave therein happy and without worry, given comfort after comfort, granted wish after wish. Heaven. Its dwellers will receive Allah’s pleasure and will revel in the greatest pleasure of all: to see Allah.
Heaven: oh, how we wish for it so: for ourselves and our families and friends. Fill your heart with hope and love of Allah during this session, as you learn about this final station in the Journey through the Hereafter, this station of eternal bliss…
