Imam Omar Suleiman is the Imam of Masjid Abu Bakr As-Siddique in New Orleans, Louisana and a member of the ICNA Shariah Council. Since 2008, hes been an instructor with the Sharia Academy of America through which he conducts online university courses and intensive weekend seminars in the areas of Aqeedah, Fiqh, Dawah, and Hadeeth.
He also teaches courses with the Islamic Learning Foundation in Tafseer and Seerah and recently joined AlMaghrib Institute as an instructor. He remains very heavily involved in community work and charity in his capacity as outreach director of ICNA Relief in Louisiana.
Imam Mohammed Faqih is the doctor of etiquette and mannerisms. His style in fashion and stride in walk makes you say “that man’s fit to be president”. Imam Mohammed has melted the hearts with lessons in tazkiya, akhlaq, and even self-discovery and psychology.
He completed a B.A. in Islamic Studies from the Institute of Islamic and Arabic Sciences in America in Fairfax, VA, and graduated in Qur’an Memorization and Recitation from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He currently serves as Imam at the Islamic Institute of Orange County, otherwise known as Masjid Omar Farouk.
Imam Karim Abu Zaid is the Imam of Colorado Muslim Society. He was a student of Shaykh Abu Ishaq Al-Heweny. He obtained his Master’s in Usool Al-Deen, Fundamentals of Islam, Quranic and Hadeeth Sciences from the American Open University in Alexandria, VA.
He has memorized the entire Qur’an an has expertise in Tafsir, counseling, leadership development, program development and execution, and motivational lecturing and teaching. Imam Karim regularly appears on satellite channels including Huda TV and Guide US TV with his own shows such as “Best of Stories”, “Righteous Companions”, and “The Inevitable Journey”.
Imam Okasha Kameny is the Imam of Masjid Al-Wasatiyah Wal-Itidaal located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has memorized the entire Qur’an as well as several of the major books of Hadith, including Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim from his homeland in West Africa.
He is a regular speaker in the DC Metropolitan area, and has online recorded lectures on the books of Bulugh Al-Maraam by Ibn Hajr (may Allah have mercy on him) and Jami’ Al-Uloom by Ibn Rajab (may Allah have mercy on him).
Sheikh Abdurrahman comes from a Syrian family who originally migrated from Mecca. For 12 years, Sheikh Abdurrahman sought knowledge from various renowned scholars from around the world including: Sheikh Ibn Baz, Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen, Sheikh Ibn Qu’ood, Sheikh Ali Al-Tantawi, Shaykh Ibn Jibreen, Shaykh Abdurrahman Albani, Shaykh Mohammad Arrawee, Shaykh Mohammad Saleh Al-Munajjid and many others.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, a Masters in Computer Science, and a PhD in Computer Science from Carleton University. He is now an instructor at AlMaghrib Institute.
Imam Safi Khan is the founder and director of the Dar-us-Salaam Community in College Park, MD.
He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Maryland, and is well-versed in Islamic law, tafsir, and seerah. He has been a prominent lecturer, family and youth counselor in the Washington DC metropolitan area for the past 25 years. He has multiple cds and tapes out on numerous Islamic topics.
Imam Safi Khan is the religious adviser of the DC Hidayah Conference.
Shaykh Shakiel Humayun was born and raised in New York City. He graduated from Baruch College with a BBA in Business Administration. He then completed post graduate studies at the Umm-ul-Qura University in Makkah al-Mukarramah receiving an Associate’s Degree with honors. He continued his studies at the College of Shariah at Umm-ul-Qura University. During his stay in Makkah, he had the opportunity to benefit from many scholars.
He has been active in the field of dawah and teaching in the U.S. for over 13 years. By profession he is an entrepreneur and has founded the Foundation for Knowledge and Development, Wellspring Elementary, Masjid ‘Eesa ibn Maryam, and a Muslim Foster Care.
Dr. Ahmed Sidky was born in Cairo, Egypt, where he graduated as Valedictorian with a Bachelor’s in Computer Science. He then went to Virginia Tech and earned his Master’s and PhD.
Dr. Ahmed has years of experience in leadership and Islamic activism. He was President of his local MSA chapter at Virginia Tech, MSA National East Zone Conference Co-Chair, East Zone US Representative, and then Vice President of MSA National USA. Traveling frequently all across the US and Canada, his speaking experience includes delivering numerous khutbas, conference lectures, workshops, and seminars across the nation.
